Here’s how you can be more efficient while Working from Home. Being efficient when you work from home is surely a challenge. We all are going through this now. There are always a lot of distractions in one’s house and let’s admit it, we have less accountability. However, in no way is working efficiently impossible. Here are ways you can be super effective while working from home:

Keep regular work hours

This is, without doubt, the very first step to make sure that productivity is at its best when working from home. It is surely tempting to give ourselves a lot of flexibility and take breaks. Sometimes, we even feel like calling it a day. This is why it is very important to set time slots for your work.

Keep separate personal and time

Do not extend your workday to a point where you burn yourself. Make sure to compartmentalize personal time and work time. This will help you be more productive when you are at work and also, really immerse yourself in personal time like reading, etc.

Plan your workflow for the day

Even before you start work, you have to know very well what your priorities are for the whole day. Once this is in place, you can easily work on your tasks. Try to find some time to plan the next day just before you go to sleep.

Dress like you are at work

Yes, we all enjoy staying in our PJs as they are very comfortable. The added fact of staying at home does not provide an incentive for us to dress up smartly. However, if we do wear professional clothes at home, our minds will automatically be tuned into a work environment. Yes, a T-shirt and sweatpants are comfier but you will feel sleepy and sluggish.

Create a professional workspace

An easy-chair, couch, and a bed all look like comfortable spots to work. But to consistently be productive, you need a neat separate room, with a desk, and chair. This will tell your brain that it is time for work. With a study table, you will be more confident, alert and also organized.

Be the janitor

Unlike in your office, you do not have a janitor to make sure that your workspace is clean and so, you will have to be your own janitor. Ensure that your room and desk are always clean. An organised workspace leads to you being more productive.
